Stranded on Death Row tells the story of the rise and fall of Death Row Records and its founder, Marion “Suge” Knight. Set against the explosive era that transformed hip-hop, the film explores the world surrounding the label that became home to Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur and some of the defining voices of a generation.

Through Knight’s story, the film traces Death Row’s ascent from Compton to the center of American popular culture—and the turmoil surrounding its eventual fall.
